LinkedIn Top Companies is a ranking of the 25 best workplaces to grow a career. Backed by unique LinkedIn data measuring different elements of career progression, the list reveals companies like Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank and Games24x7 that are helping their employees build careers that will set them up for long-term success.

This year continues to see the jobs market in a state of flux — from AI changing the way businesses function to more companies using cross-functional internal mobility to retain employees. Even amid a global banking crisis that could impact the Indian IT sector and news of layoffs in the edtech space, hiring sentiment remains strong in general across India Inc and the startup ecosystem. This is prompting many professionals to seek their best next career move and employers to rethink how they attract, retain, and develop talent.

Our 7th annual LinkedIn Top Companies list is the resource to find the 25 best workplaces in India to grow your career right now. From the country’s top tech firm Tata Consultancy Services to quick commerce platform Zepto — a LinkedIn Top Startup in India last year — the list includes organisations across varied industries. The methodology looks at components like how employees are advancing both within a firm and when they leave, how they’re upskilling while employed there, and more — revealing companies that help set people up to get ahead in their careers.

When compiling the list, we also consider factors like attrition and layoffs.

To be eligible, companies must have had at least 500 employees as of Dec. 31, 2022 in the country and attrition can be no higher than 10% over the methodology time period, based on LinkedIn data. Similarly, companies with layoffs that amount to more than 10% of their workforce, based on public announcements between Jan. 1, 2022 and the list launch, are also ineligible.
