Ernst & Young Techathon 3.0

PROGRAM :Ernst & Young Techathon 3.0

Location -ONLINE

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

      • Welcome to the 3rd edition of the EY Techathon, your opportunity to build a better world in the Metaverse.

      • Use technology and your imagination to solve any one of the three real-world challenges

      • Participants will get a chance to use cutting-edge technology and interact with EY leadership and industry veterans.

      • College students from every discipline, across the country can participate in this technology challenge. 

      • Winners will get a chance to win exciting cash prizes and internship opportunities at EY.

      • Registration: Participants will submit their interest in the challenge along with details of their team members and the problem statement(s) they are looking to solve.
      • Submissions: Participants will make a detailed submission on their ideas, explaining the scope of the problem they are solving, how they will apply technology, the solution models and why their idea is innovative.
      • Semi-final presentation to EY Leadership: Shortlisted participants will present their solution models in this round to a jury panel comprising EY leaders. Based on this round, finalists will be announced. 
      • Grand Finale:  The Metaverse use cases will be presented by the finalists to a jury comprising industry leaders in the grand finale and the winners will be announced.

Education Required:

    • he participant(s) should be an Indian citizen, residing in India only and above 18 years of age on the date of the participation.
    • The participant(s) should be students currently enrolled in a degree/diploma course (part-time or full-time) from any discipline in any college based out of India.
    • The participant(s) can participate either in their individual capacity or as a team with team size not exceeding 4 members.
    • Team formation guidelines:
      • A team can have no more than 4 members
      • The participants can be from any specialization
      • Cross-year teams are allowed
      • Cross-college teams are not allowed
      • One participant cannot be a member of more than one team
      • Bonus points for diversity in teaming

PRIZES:

        • Winners get cash prizes!

          • First position: INR 3,00,000
          • Second position: INR 2,00,000

          Select participants will also have the opportunity to intern in EY.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Analytical/Decision-Making Responsibilities: 

  • An ability to quickly understand complex concepts and use technology to support data modeling, analysis, visualization, or process automation
  • Selects appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools, and applications and uses accordingly
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team structure, but also independently
  • Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Communicates fluently orally and in writing and can present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality targets
  • Able to absorb rapidly new technical information, business acumen, and apply it effectively
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong customer focus, good listening, negotiation and problem-resolution skills

 

Additional skills requirements:

  • The expectations are that a Senior will be able to maintain long-term client relationships and network and cultivate business development opportunities 
  • Provide high quality client services by directing daily progress of engagement work, informing engagement manager of engagement status, and managing staff performance.
  • Must have presentation skills ‘ ability to create PowerPoint deck to communicate solution architecture to various stakeholders.
  • Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices
  • Excellent business communication, Consulting, Quality process skills
  • Must be a team player

Education Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech/MCA & MBA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field with adequate industry experience.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong experience in .Net Core and Entity Framework and React JS/Angular JS
  • Experience in React JS or Angular JS in must. 
  • Working knowledge of relational database development: MS SQL/SQL Azure, EF 6, EF Core
  • Unit testing: NUnit, Moq, jest
  • Experience using distributed version control systems: Git/SVN
  • Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices. 
  • Excellent business communication 
  • JSON and Rest API integration
  • Need to work as a team member to contribute in various technical streams of Microsoft Technologies. 
  • Nice to have skill
  • Basic knowledge in one of the following technologies: Angular, React
  • Experience in Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum methodology
