JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced a large recruitment drive for the position of Assistant Teacher (Primary) under Advertisement No. 05/2025. The New Delhi Municipal Council and the Directorate of Education have announced 1180 job openings.

A total of 1180 Assistant Teacher (Primary) posts are available:
Directorate of Education – 1055 posts
New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) – 125 posts
🔹 Out of the total, 61 posts are reserved for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities).

Education Required:
1. Educational Background
Regarding the Department of Education (DOE):
Senior Secondary with two years of elementary education diploma and at least 50% of the possible points.
or four years of B.El.Ed. (Bachelor of Elementary Education).
OR a two-year elementary education diploma plus graduation.
must have completed the CBSE-conducted Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
must have completed secondary school in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English.
Regarding the NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Council):
50% on the 12th grade plus two years of a primary education diploma, JBT, ETE, DIET, or B.El.Ed.
CTET must have been passed.
Hindi must have been passed as a class 10 subject.
Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
2. Maximum Age
30 years at most
Relaxation by Age:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: three years
PwBD: 10 to 15 years (category-specific)
Ex-Servicemen: 3 years of military duty plus 55 years
SELECTION PROCESS
The Process of Selection
A one-tiered computer-based test (CBT) will be used to make the selection:
Time frame: two hours
There are 200 MCQs (200 marks) in total.
Sections:
20 points for general intelligence and reasoning
Twenty marks for general awareness
Math Proficiency: 20 Points
English Language and Understanding: 20 Points
Hindi Language and Understanding: 20 Points
100 marks for teaching methodology and NCTE curriculum
The minimum qualifying scores are 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD. Negative marking is 0.25 points for each incorrect response.
📝 Application Charge
OBC/EWS/General: ₹100
Candidates who are SC/ST, PwBD, or former service members are exempt.
The SBI e-pay system is the only way to make payments.
