JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch the Life Insurance Corporation’s Bima Sakhi Yojana during his visit to Panipat, Haryana, this week. The initiative aims to empower women aged 18 to 70 under particular situations. Women who have completed Class X will receive specialised training and a stipend for the first three years to encourage financial literacy and insurance awareness. After completing the course, the women can work as LIC agents. Furthermore, graduating Bima Sakhis would be eligible for Development Officer positions at LIC.AFter
According to an official release, the Prime Minister will also hand out appointment credentials to prospective Bima Sakhis.
Stipendiary Year Stipend payable per month
First Year Rs.7,000/-
Second Year Rs.6,000/- (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the First stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the second stipendiary year)
Third Year Rs.5,000/- (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the Second stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the third stipendiary year )

LIC’s Bima Sakhi (MCA Scheme) is a stipendiary scheme specifically for women with a three-year term.
The appointment of a person under the MCA plan is not considered a salary appointment as a Corporation employee.
The minimum completed age should be 18 years as of the date of application. The maximum age for entry will be 70 years (latest birthday).
Passing the tenth grade is the minimum criterion.
MCA’s performance norms for each stipendiary year are as follows:

Important Points
- Relatives of existing agents or employees are not eligible to be recruited as MCAs. Relatives include the following family members: spouse, children (including adopted and stepchildren), parents, brothers, sisters, and immediate in-laws.
- A retired employee of the Corporation or an ex-agent seeking reappointment may not be awarded agency under the MCA scheme.
- Existing agents are not eligible to apply for recruitment as MCAs.
- The most recent passport-size photos should be uploaded along with the application form.
- Please attach the following papers to the application form:- Provide self-attested copies of age evidence, address proof, and educational qualification certificate.

Monthly Stipend Due for the Stipendiary Year
Rs. 7,000 for the first year and Rs. 6,000 for the second (provided that at least 65% of the policies finished in the first year are still in effect at the end of the corresponding month of the second year).
