Vacancy Details
The recruitment includes 2,801 apprentice positions across various railway trades and divisions. The exact number of vacancies in each trade may vary depending on workshop requirements and operational needs.

Fitter

Education Required:
Passed 10th Class (Matriculation) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
ITI certificate in relevant trade from a recognized institution approved by NCVT or SCVT.
Both the academic qualification and technical training must be completed before applying for the apprenticeship program.
Age Limit
The age limit for candidates applying for the apprenticeship program is:
Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age relaxation will be provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

The selection of apprentices will be based on merit. There will be no written examination or interview.
The merit list will be prepared based on:
Marks obtained in 10th class
Marks obtained in ITI trade certificate
Candidates with higher combined marks will have better chances of selection.
Training Period
Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training as per the guidelines of the Apprentices Act. During the training period, candidates will gain practical experience in railway workshops and maintenance units.
