JOB DESCRIPTION:

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has released the official notification for ONGC Apprentices Recruitment 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Through this recruitment drive, ONGC invites online applications from eligible candidates for 3,047 apprenticeship training positions across 24 work centres in India.
The ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification includes opportunities for ITI candidates, diploma holders and graduates in various trades and disciplines. Interested candidates can apply for available apprenticeship positions through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portals, depending on the trade.
The online application process starts on 29 October 2026, and the last date to submit applications is 20 November 2026. Selected candidates will undergo 12 months of apprenticeship training and receive a monthly stipend according to their educational qualifications.

Candidates applying for ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must satisfy the prescribed age criteria.
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
The age will be calculated as on 29 November 2026.
Candidates must have been born between 29 November 2002 and 29 November 2008.
Age Relaxation
Age relaxation is applicable to reserved categories as per the notification.
SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 Years
PwBD Candidates: Up to 10 Years
PwBD (SC/ST) Candidates: Up to 15 Years
PwBD (OBC-NCL) Candidates: Up to 13 Years
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD categories will be provided according to Government guidelines.

Eligible candidates must submit their applications online through the respective apprenticeship portals. The application portal depends on the trade and apprenticeship scheme mentioned in the notification.

Step 1: NAPS Registration

Candidates applying for NAPS-designated trades must register and submit their applications through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme portal.

Candidates applying for NATS-designated positions must register and submit their applications through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Before applying, candidates should verify their educational qualifications, age criteria, selected trade and eligible domicile district.

Step 4: Submit the Application

Complete the registration process and enter the required educational and personal details accurately on the respective portal.

Step 5: Verify Application Details

Candidates should ensure that all the information furnished during registration is correct and that the application has been successfully submitted within the prescribed deadline.

Applications submitted through offline modes, including post or hard copy, will not be accepted.
