JOB DESCRIPTION:

Help the Project Finance team track project profitability and financial performance. Collaborate with Project Managers and operational project teams to build a basic grasp of project economics, such as monitoring forecasts, spotting risks to margins, and learning about process improvements. Support the monitoring of project cash positions, covering services, PTCs, grants, unpaid invoices, and advances.

What you will do

- Help Project Managers monitor the operational progress of projects, making sure units are tracked accurately every month. Aid in monitoring actual performance versus budgeted tasks, and assist in spotting risks, inefficiencies, and deviations from scope. Raise findings with senior team members so they can review and discuss them.
  · Assist with revenue tracking efforts and help spot changes in scope. Under the guidance of senior analysts, learn to analyze cost-to-complete forecasts and how they affect project margins.
  · Help prepare budgets and proposals by supporting costing outputs that back revenue recognition and project performance monitoring. Collaborate with senior team members on proposal mapping, exchange rate factors, and unit-based bid structures.
  · Under supervision, help create payment schedules and volume-based discount schedules for proposals and contracts, ensuring they match budgeted resources.
  · Join operational project team meetings and offer financial observations. Take part in monthly Project Management meetings, learning to share financial insights on project issues.
  · Assist with departmental budget development, quarterly revenue forecasting, and backlog reconciliation, and support internal and external financial audit activities.

Education Required:

BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience.

skills

Proven experience in finance or accounting, with project accounting/analysis being an advantage
· Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or with a CRO is preferred
· High level of proficiency in English
· Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
· Familiarity with accounting software packages
· Prior experience with Oracle Finance is an advantage
· Understanding of financial modelling methods
· Outstanding analytical abilities
