JOB DESCRIPTION:
With a focus on openings at the Kakrapar Gujarat Site, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has published a new recruiting ad for 2025. Candidates with qualifications ranging from ITI to certificates and science degrees can apply for this intake, which focuses on jobs in a variety of technical fields.

1. Stipendiary Trainee (Diploma Holders, Category I)
These are training-based positions designed for applicants with engineering diplomas. Candidates may be appointed as Scientific Assistant/B in their respective fields following satisfactory training.
Nine positions in mechanical
Electrical: eight posts
Electronics and Instrumentation: 8 positions
A full-time engineering diploma with at least 60% of the possible points is required. Proficiency in English and a minimum score of 60% in both the SSC and HSC are also necessary.
2. Stipendiary Trainee (ITI Holders, Category-II)
ITI-qualified applicants in related trades are intended for these opportunities. After completing two training phases, qualified applicants will be assigned to Technician/B positions.
Fitter: 10 posts
Electrician β 8 posts
7 positions for Instrument Mechanic
Qualification: SSC with Science and Math + ITI in relevant trade. Candidates must also pass a physical standard test.
3. Two positions for Scientific Assistant/B (Direct Recruitment) in Civil Engineering
One position in mechanical engineering
A minimum of 60% in a relevant discipline is required for a diploma or B.Sc. This is not a training-based position; it is a straight recruitment function.
4. Boiler Attendant/Technician/B
One position as a boiler attendant
SSC and a First Class Boiler Attendant Certificate are prerequisites. Experience within a year of qualification is desired.
5. Grade 1 Assistant (Group-C Non-Technical)
Departments of HR, F&A, and C&MM: 4 positions total
Any bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of the possible points is required. Basic computer skills and a 30 w.p.m. English typing speed are necessary.

Age Requirements (as of June 25, 2025)
18 to 25 years old, Category-I Trainees & Scientific Assistant/BClass II Participants: 18β24 years old
Boiler attendant/technician: 18 to 25 years
Grade 1 Assistant: 21β28 years old
According to government guidelines, the upper age restriction is lowered for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and ex-servicemen.
Conditions of Training, Compensation, and Bonds for Category-I Stipendiary Trainees:
Time frame: 18 months
Monthly stipend: βΉ16,000 for the first year, βΉ18,000 for the following six months
Level 6 post-training compensation: βΉ35,400 + benefits
For Stipendiary Trainees in Category-II:
Time frame: two years
Monthly stipend: βΉ10,500 for the first year, βΉ12,500 for the second.
Level 3 post-training compensation: βΉ21,700 + benefits
Direct Hires (Assistant Gr-1, Scientific Assistant/B, Technician/B):
Pay scales based on the seventh CPC:
Level 6 Scientific Assistant/B (βΉ35,400)
Level 3 Technician/B (βΉ21,700)
Grade 1 Assistant: Level 4 (βΉ25,500)
