  • The Central Bank of India has officially released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification for the engagement of 4500 Apprentices across India under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This is a golden opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable banking experience in one of India’s leading public sector banks.

    Interested candidates can apply online from 12 June 2026 to 22 June 2026. Selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training and receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

1. Online Examination

The online test will include:

* General/Financial Awareness
* Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning
* Computer Knowledge
* General English
* Central Bank of India Products & Services

2. Local Language Test

Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for.

For Andhra Pradesh, the required language is Telugu.

Candidates who studied the local language in Class 10 or Class 12 may be exempted from the language test.

3. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and medical fitness verification before final engagement.

Education Required:

Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Additionally, applicants should have completed graduation on or after 01 January 2022.

Age Limit

As on 31 May 2026:

* Minimum Age: 20 Years
* Maximum Age: 28 Years

Candidates must have been born between 31 May 1998 and 31 May 2006.

Age Relaxation

* SC/ST: 5 Years
* OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
* PwBD: Up to 15 Years
* Eligible Widows/Divorced Women: As per Government norms

  • Training Duration

    The apprenticeship period will be for 12 months. Apprentices will receive practical exposure to banking operations, customer service, banking products, and financial services.

    Important Conditions

    * Candidates should be registered on the NATS Portal.
    * Applicants should not have previously completed any apprenticeship.
    * Candidates with one year or more work experience after graduation are not eligible.
    * Apprentices will not be treated as permanent employees of the bank.
    * Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee a job in Central Bank of India.
