RRB NTPC Application Fee 2026
The examination fee varies according to the candidate’s category.
₹500 Fee
For candidates other than the categories specifically listed for the concessional fee:
Application Fee: ₹500
Out of this amount, ₹400 will be refunded, after applicable bank charges, to candidates who appear in the 1st Stage CBT.
₹250 Fee
The concessional fee of ₹250 applies to candidates belonging to:
– SC
– ST
– Ex-Servicemen
– PwBD
– Female
– Transgender
– Minorities
– Economically Backward Class (EBC)
The ₹250 fee is refundable, after applicable bank charges, on appearing in the 1st Stage CBT. CEN_06_2026_NTPC_G
Important: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS. The notification specifically treats these as different categories.

RRB NTPC Selection Process 2026
The selection process under CEN 06/2026 consists of:
1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination

Important Update for JAA and Senior Clerk Candidates
One notable change in CEN 06/2026 is that the typing skill test has been dispensed with for:
– Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist
– Senior Clerk Cum Typist
However, candidates are still expected to have basic computer and adequate typing proficiency. Their proficiency may be assessed after joining, and unsatisfactory performance could affect or delay confirmation or promotion. CEN_06_2026_NTPC_G
