JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • CSIR-NAL MTS Recruitment 2026: CSIR–National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru, has released Advertisement No. 11/2026 for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on a direct recruitment basis. A total of 6 MTS vacancies are available for eligible Indian citizens.

    The recruitment is open to candidates who have passed SSC/10th Standard. The selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-01 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay scale of ₹18,000 to ₹56,900. The upper age limit for UR candidates is 25 years, with applicable relaxations for reserved and other eligible categories.

    Applications must be submitted only in physical form through Speed Post or Courier. The application process starts on August 12, 2026, and the hard-copy application must reach CSIR-NAL by September 21, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The responsibilities mentioned in the notification include:

Maintaining physical records and files of the section.
General cleanliness and upkeep of the section/unit.
Carrying files and papers within the office.
Photocopying and scanning.
Sending fax wherever required.
Other routine office support work.
Delivery and collection of dak, including outside the building when required.
Assisting with diary, dispatch, filing and record management.
Opening and closing office rooms.
Cleaning rooms and dusting furniture, fixtures and office equipment.
Preparing and serving tea/coffee and refreshments when required.
Assisting in meetings, conferences and official functions.
Performing other duties assigned by the controlling or supervisory officer.

 

 

CSIR-NAL MTS Application Fee

The prescribed application fee is ₹500.

The fee must be paid only through Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of:

Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, payable at Bengaluru

Candidates must write their name and father’s name on the back of the Demand Draft.

The application fee is exempted for:

Women candidates

All other candidates are required to pay the prescribed ₹500 fee.

  • CSIR-NAL MTS Selection Process

    Candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions and are recommended through the screening process will be called for an OMR-based Objective Type Multiple Choice Competitive Written Examination.

    The merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in the written examination. The written examination will be conducted only in Bengaluru, and requests for changing the examination centre or date will not be entertained.

    CSIR-NAL MTS Exam Pattern

    The written examination consists of one paper.

    Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. The total examination duration is 2 hours.
    The standard of the examination is Class X. Questions are set in English, Hindi and Kannada, except for questions in the English Language section.

    CSIR-NAL MTS Exam Syllabus

    The examination covers four major sections:

    General Intelligence

    25 questions – 75 marks

    This section carries three marks for each correct answer and one negative mark for each incorrect answer.

    Quantitative Aptitude

    25 questions – 75 marks

    The section contains 25 questions for a maximum of 75 marks.

    General Awareness

    50 questions – 150 marks

    Candidates should prepare for the General Awareness section as prescribed for the Class X-level examination.

    English Language

    50 questions – 150 marks

    The English Language section carries the highest number of questions along with General Awareness.

    Overall, candidates will face 150 questions for 450 marks in 2 hours, with negative marking.

    Tie-Breaking Rules

    If two or more candidates obtain the same merit position, the notification specifies the following tie-breaking order:

    Candidate with fewer negative marks is placed higher.
    Older candidate based on date of birth is placed higher.
    Candidate who acquired the essential qualification earlier is placed higher.
    Alphabetical order of the candidates’ first names.

How to Apply for CSIR-NAL MTS Recruitment 2026?

The application process is completely offline.

Candidates should follow these steps:

Step 1: Download and Fill the Prescribed Application Form

Candidates must use the application form provided with the recruitment advertisement and fill it correctly.

The application must be neatly typed on A4-size paper. The notification specifically states that handwritten applications will not be accepted.

Step 2: Prepare the Application Fee

Eligible candidates who are not exempted must prepare a ₹500 Demand Draft in favour of the Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, payable at Bengaluru.

Step 3: Attach Required Documents

Candidates should attach self-attested copies of the required certificates and documents.

Step 4: Affix Photograph and Sign
