Role: Data Scientist
Location: work from home/BANGALORE
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work with huge, intricate data sets, resolve challenging non-routine analysis issues, and utilise sophisticated problem-solving techniques as necessary. Perform analysis that involves obtaining data, defining requirements, processing, analysing, and creating continuing deliverables and presentations.
Using visual displays of quantitative data, provide business advice (e.g., cost-benefit, forecasting, experiment analysis) and effectively deliver findings to many levels of stakeholders.
To raise the calibre of Google’s user-facing products—such as search quality, advertisements quality, end-user behavioural modelling, and live experiments—research, build, analyse, forecast, and optimise processes.
Contribute to the development of novel, data-driven, privacy-preserving marketing and advertising products by assisting technical, product, and customer-facing teams.
To solve business questions at scale, figure out how to mix statistical-econometric, machine learning, large-scale experimentation, and social science methodologies.

Education Required:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
skills
- Relevant internship or work experience with data. Experience in quantitative methodologies with statistics and causal inference method.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, S-Plus, SAS, or similar).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with statistical data analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods.
- Experience with machine learning on large datasets.
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions.
- Ability to teach others and learn new techniques such as differential privacy.
- Ability to select the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.
