The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released a Centralized Apprentice Recruitment Notification 2026 for the engagement of 6,777+ Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates who have passed 10th with ITI in the relevant trade can apply online for apprenticeship training across various divisions and workshops of NFR. This is one of the biggest Railway Apprentice recruitments of 2026 and offers opportunities in multiple technical and non-technical trades.

Education Required:

Candidates must fulfill the following educational qualifications:

For Most Trades

Passed 10th Class (Matriculation) with at least 50% marks (SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the 50% requirement).
Must possess a valid NCVT/SCVT ITI Certificate in the relevant trade.

For Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology/Radiology)

Passed 10th Class with minimum 50% marks.
Passed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with minimum 50% marks.

Age Limit

As on the closing date of application:

Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years

Age Relaxation

SC/ST – 5 Years
OBC – 3 Years
PwBD – 10 Years
Ex-Servicemen – As per Government Rules

Selection Process
Selection will be purely merit-based.
The merit list will be prepared based on:
Average percentage of marks in 10th Class
ITI Marks in the relevant trade
For Medical Laboratory Technician trades, merit will be based on:
10th Marks
12th Science (PCB) Marks
No written examination or interview will be conducted. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
